A pastebin (sometimes called "nopaste" as well) is a text-clipboard on the Internet used to exchange any kind of textual information between people working together in order to solve a problem.

How it works

You open a pastebin website in your browser and paste the text you like to show others there, for example, the output of a traceroute or a configuration file.

The server then will give you a link to the text you pasted which you in turn can give to anyone who you like to have a look at it. Some pastebins even allow others (including the people you asked) to reply to your paste there. If such functionality is not supported by the pastebin you are using, the answer can simply be pasted as new pastebin item.

There are lots of pastebins around, and they all serve the same purpose, so you can bascially use the one you like most. Nevertheless, here is a list of a few:
